Writing for Engineers

PreviousMeetupsNextPublishing your ideas

Last updated 1 year ago

You may have stumbled upon some excellent content created by Infobip engineers on some of the more popular developer platforms or just browsing Hacker News. This is no coincidence – our developers have a lot to say, but they also have full support if they want to get their thoughts published.

Writing workshops

The idea behind developer content workshops and sprints is to help you write great content (blog posts, technical case studies, tutorials, etc.) but also ensure you have the dedicated time and editorial support to do it. If you're creating something that builds up the company brand and brings us closer to our shared goals, you shouldn't have to do it in your free time, right?

The Developer Content Team organizes the workshops every month in sync with Engineering. There are free topic writing workshops and dedicated topic workshops so that everyone can find their groove.

What You Will Learn

Hundreds of engineers have participated in the workshops both inside and outside Infobip. By participating, you will learn how to:

  • Come up with great ideas for developer blog posts that stand out;

  • Outline your content so it's easy to read and understand while being interesting;

  • Focus on writing your draft in a structured and efficient manner so as not to waste any time;

  • Edit your draft into the final version you will be proud to send to your editor;

  • Prepare a great title that will attract the audience you want!

Workshops are a unique chance to get dedicated writing time, full support, and feedback from your peers and editors.

What You Can Write About

Whether you're new to the team or an experienced Principal Engineer, you can take advantage of the Developer content workshops to:

  • Write a blog post that shows your expertise based on a project you've worked on at Infobip;

  • Prepare an article that can be the outline for a presentation you want to give at a meetup or conference;

  • Document your learnings from a critical situation you helped resolve

  • Share best practices in a blog post with the broader dev community.
