Switching Positions

As Infobip grows, so do the opportunities within it. We have well-defined internal mobility policy that enables you to change their positions without changing the company and the greater team you like.

You can easily switch from one technology stack to another:

  • From being a System Engineer and becoming Java Software Engineer;

  • Or maybe you are an Engineer and want to go into the Management track;

  • Or from an Engineer to jumping into Product development.

In a company like Infobip, there is always room for exploring around in your own backyard.

How Pivoting Your Position Works

Fairly simply: besides our where you probably found your first role at Infobip, there is also an Internal Vacancy page, available on Workplace only to Infobip employees. There you can explore the existing opportunities and apply if you decide that some position may be a better fit for you.

There is couple of rules of engagement to make your internal movement within Infobip:

  • You are able to do it after spending 6 months in a company;

  • You need to discuss it with your Line Manager who will support you but also to assure business continuity, so that the replacement can be planned accordingly;

  • If you are making a move for example from one engineering team to another, you will just need to have a short conversation to set the expectations;

  • Keep in mind that some transfers can be limited by location because each requirement area defines what locations are eligible for their engineers;

  • If you are moving to position that is different then the one you are currently holding, you will need to go trough the selection process that is proposed for this position, e.g. technical assessment;

  • If you are rejected for any reason, there is no shame nor blame, you will be able to stay on your current position until new opportunity arise;

  • On the other hand you are able to do it more then once but only after spending minimum of 1 year on the position you switched to.
