Last updated 1 year ago

Besides the big events that we organize and host such as DevDays and Infobip Shift, Infobip engineers and teams host and attend meetups and various community events around the world. Thanks to having engineering hubs from Croatia to Poland, we localize our engineering meetups and use local languages to make it easier for the speakers and attendees to meet, connect, learn and ask questions.

All our meetups are driven by our engineers and their take on what the local community is interested in.

Support from Infobip

And when you want to create a meetup, you're not alone: You get support from our People Operations and Employer Branding department with the promotion and organization. The topic, the format and the way you want to present is totally up to you and your team.

Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovakia are our very active engineering hubs that organize regular meetups, conferences, online programming contests, coding challenges.

Bosnia and Herzegovina: Let's Talk about IT Meetups, Algorithm Challenge...

Infobip started its journey in Bosnia and Herzegovina in 2010. by opening up an office in Sarajevo. In 2019. this story continued with the opening of the Tuzla office which is considered an engineering hub. Today Infobip in BIH is positioned as a part of the global engineering powerhouse with more than 200 employees in different departments, and preparations are being made for building the Campus in Sarajevo.

Slovakia: GIVE meetups

Since 2020, Infobip has been a part of the Slovak IT market. Our team in Kosice consists of more than 50 professionals and they have decided to use their experience with connecting people and companies through various channels and to share it with the local community.

Croatia: BipTalks, Leading in Tech, Java Meetup, Java Quiz...

Since Croatia is the place where it all started, almost 500 of our engineers are located here. They have all the support for organizing or participating on the Meetups. Here are just some of them:

Infobip Meetups - Africa

With 11 offices across the continent and clients in all countries, Infobip has had a strong presence in Africa for over a decade, but we were primarily focused on enterprise clients.

In 2022 we organized a couple of tech meetups in Lagos, the biggest city in Nigeria and one of the financial centers of the continent, and one in Accra, Ghana. Following the success of these events, we organized a series of in-person events in Nairobi (Kenya), Cairo (Egypt), Casablanca (Morocco), Kampala (Uganda) and Abidjan (Ivory Coast).

The turnout at our meetups in Africa is always amazing and provides ample opportunities to connect with talented, ambitious, and successful local developers, startup founders, and tech enthusiasts.

meetups have been organized in BiH since 2016. The first one was started by engineers from Infobip to create and strengthen the IT community in Sarajevo and our group now counts almost 800 members. The live meetups have been replaced by online ones in the past two years. Some of the topics over the years were: Java Memory Model, PostgreSQL, AI and denoising, How to improve UX as a developer...

was started by one of Infobip's engineers who has a love for algorithms and Algorithm contests. People locally could compete for a generous prize reserved for the ultimate algorithm geek.

Infobip Kosice GIVE Meetup is a series of meetups about growth, inspiration, vision and excellence with the first focused on
